CHAPTER 1      










Humans it had to be humans didn’t. I thought to my self as i watched the prey walking toward the building that was the hunters place were humans, vampires, witches, Shape shifters, immortals, and last of all the fey (fairies).  Fuchsia light is what most of these people stand by like lets say the English god or the roman gods and goddesses. They follow it by heart they believe every lie the leader of their organization.
Those that fallow that group are a traitor to all that is right with the world. The world is not how they see it to be all sugar coated with a cherry on top. All right I’m voicing my and my family’s thoughts toward them. Though I don't rightly know why they follow it.
Back to the human at hand she was nearly to the door. I built a powerful blast of magic before I sent it out I searched her aura there seemed to be a bit of every type of blood within her all but Shape shifters that could account for the slightly strong aura surrounding her. I put more magic in to the blast than let it go towards her when it hit her I was really surprise by what happened it was going straight at her when it hit her it seem to get pulled into her body.
She stopped before she went into the building and turned to face my direction. Than looked up at me than with a slight smile sent a message to me saying 'I know that your there you don’t have to hide everyone in the building knows that you’ve been in the tree since 10 last night, sapphire. My master was not very pleased to see that you were here all night even if it was the full moon then he really wanted to hunt your kind but as seeming that you are the strongest of your kind doesn’t it strike you odd??' she said all that in my mind then started to turn toward the door but I jumped down out of the tree as I got a counter spell to ward things away.
"What did you mean I’m the strongest of my kind Falda! Our kind is the strongest out of witch and Shape shifters not many can defeat us. Not even vampires, immortals, and fey. What in the great heavens did you mean by that."
"What I meant by that was that there’s a legend going back hundreds of years stating that one with a mixed blood from birth both of a strong human types such as 'Shape shifters' and 'witches' would over. Power the masses because then that person would get power and help from the others such as 'vampire, immortal, fey' with this combination that person would strike down any evil that the gods had banished to the nether regions. Which that evil had proclaimed that one day it shall return even stronger than before that if one was to gather the five groups together that with there strong force then could beat me once again such as the gods have done so.
'The gods then force magic in to some they were called the witches and Shapeshifters than poured there own types of magic into the fey’s and immortals than the darkest of the gods poured his every whim into the ones to be vampire. With that the gods had very little power left so they transferred their mountaintop that was their home and put it in a secluded area that only one with their gifts could find it or they wanted to be found.
'With that they all grouped there all but the mini gods such as love, fate, death, hate, war, and the rest was left here to guarantee that these people would prosper according to the standings. After the mini gods had left the others shrouded there place in magic to keep them safe then they all drunk a draught of sleeping potion that would not wake them for over 3000 years of sleep were they would gain back all the power lost to them in the fight with the evil.
'With the world far changed than it was over 3000 years ago the gods will not like what has happened to it considering this was their home before we even existed to be around. That it seemed to be of their mother that they’ve been living on I wouldn’t be surprise if they were very pissed off at the people for what they’ve done to the planet.  They will how ever been pleased for the population of the beings and how it’s grown so much since they’ve been a sleep for over 3 thousand years."





CHAPTER 2






I looked at her and saw for the first time that she wasn’t kidding. Most of the time I’ve known her sense of humor is very deep much more than a normal humans I guess because she has to spend it with all types of beings since she’s the main vamps companion since the early 100s not sure which year it was. Her master was one of the very first vamps that got turned by the gods or so he says.
"Fine so what you know what I am, who cares I sure don’t!” I turn and punch her right in the eye but her arm came up and tried to block the punch but as I had put most of my strength behind it I knew that I had broken the arm. With that I turned and started toward the woods to my car than home.
I felt an aura behind me, after that I started to run straight out to reach the car. As I reached the clearing that held my blue delta 88 I sighed in gratitude I felt the brush of the things aura to mine and felt a searing pain through my body that felt like my skin was being pulled off inch by inch. I started to fall to the ground to pass out but the thing that caught me was not what I wanted to catch me. Falda’s master Gabriel.
"So you think that you can abuse your power by attacking my servant and causing pain to both of us? Well I thought you needed to get a taste of the pain times two!" with that he sent his power toward me and felt the same pain only worst. I screamed when the pain stroked me. Gabriel let go of me while I had my knife in mid air and stabbed him in the left thigh, than sliced it down the leg toward his knee as I did this he screamed and kicked me in the rib that sent me flying into the car hood.
I felt extreme pain were he kicked me and knew he had broken some ribs and my left arm that ill have to be healed if I got out of here. I looked up to see that Gabriel was mothering the leg and garthal walking toward him nursing her arm. His wound would leave a scar. Vamps really don’t like to mess with silver because it causes them extreme pain.
I got up trying not to get their attention and started to slide around the car front to the other side. As I started to open the driver side I slide the knife in its home and got seated in the seat and started the car up and tore out of there like there was no tomorrow. I got on to the highway I grabbed my cell and called the person that would be willing to help without many questions.



CHAPTER 3




"Hey Ashton, is Lashley there?"
"Yeah Sapphire, she’s here... let me get her for you." with that he put me on hold. Ashton was a very handsome young fey that was 28, which was considered a child to fey standard. 6' 6" with silverish white hair with same eye’s to match that would put ice in your veins if he were staring at you long enough. He had the fairest skin that any human or any other being would kill for. Though most of the time he works out side to build up on his weapon skills he did not have a tan on his body.
"Hello? Hello are you there sapphire?" Lashley ask over the phone worried.
"Hey Lashley I’m here, I’m just calling to see if you have a space there for me? I need a place to hang out for a while."
There was a moments of silence then whispering of Ashton and her arguing over some thing then apparent that Lashley won the argument "yeah come on over I’ll have someone waiting for you out side ok?"
"Yeah ill be over in a few minutes I’m on 99 right now." I grimaced in pain as I slammed on the brakes as the light changed to red. I shut the cell off and set it down in my bag on the seat. I waited for the light to change when it did I when in search of a gas station to fill up and get some thing to drink and aspirin to stop this killer headache that was throbbing big time.
I pulled into the gas station and filled the tank than went into get the stuff I wanted well there was a punk trying to rob the elderly guy behind the counter. I put the things I had on a shelf and went straight at the kid and poked him in the rib which startled him because he didn’t see me i guess because I’m pretty much on the short side being 5' 3" tall.
"If you don’t want to get hurt if I were you I would want to get out of here."  he got the strangest look on his face because i didn’t look like I could do much harm to any one I look about 15 but am really 20, and could lift about 400 pounds. He dint try and run just pointed the knife that he was threatening the guy with it toward me. I started to feel the anger of not being left alone and felt the slight change of the beast that I could change into being awoken. I tried to hold back my beast but apparently some got through it changed my eyes from a green brown to a golden brown my ears to a slight point at the top.
I grabbed the knife from him and threw the knife at the wall and grabbed him around the neck I looked in his face as he saw this.  What I saw was fear of being hurt I saw my reflection off his brown eyes there was a girl that looked like a mixture of a cat and human. That had short dark brown hair with red streaks running through it that reached the shoulders, a very pale complexion with goldish eyes and pointy ears. I growled at him and he whimpered like a dog that was weak from a fight.
"Now will you leave with out a fight?"  I raised him several inches off the floor of the store and saw more fear then before I smiled he grimaced than nodded I let him drop the ground. "If you return to get revenge I’ll search out every person you ever known and kill them you hear!" he whimpered again and nodded and ran out the door.
I went back to the shelf with my items and walked to the counter I look up and saw the old man staring at me with wide startled blue eyes. "Is the knife the kids?" he nodded "can I have it?" he nodded again I went and grabbed it out of the wall were it was struck several inches in it I walk back over to the counter. I paid for the gas every thing I had gotten with 200 dollars he looked at the bills then at me and back at the bills then back to me and says "I don’t have change enough for this ma’am."
"Don’t worry you can keep the change I don’t really need it any way." I gave a very sweet smile and started to walk towards my car.
"Hey missy thank you for every thing with the kid and all" I nodded " well I thought that I was a real goner when he threatened me with that knife but..." he looked lost for words.
"Don’t worry I doubt he’ll came back after what I did to him." with that I went out to the car and open the aspirin bottle and got the recommended amount pills and popped them in my mouth then took a swig of water to was the pills down with. Then started the car and drove the car remembering the name of the gas station gate of heaven.




CHAPTER 4






The building that Lashley owned for her clinic was a Victorian house there are 20 rooms in total 1/2 were for every day living and the others for the clinic. Siding is dark green and the trim is a Very light green. I guess the color is for the surrounding trees seeming this is not a very populated area outside of Lansing.
The road that leads to her house is far from the high way. When I had called Lashley it was around midnight now it was well past 2 am. As she had had said there was someone waiting on the lighted porch. From what I could tell the person was a female about 5' 3'' with body that most would kill for.  Her hair was near her waist and was the color of honey from what I could see was that her features were very defined.
I sighed I did not want to talk to her not after that fight we had over the silliness like boys or spells or something like that. You know how it’s like between family.  I expressly hate having to be a twin to her since child hood she’s been trying to out do me in every turn possible. We look exactly like each other but inside each of us there’s a different person to an extent. Me its a slight human/destructive nature her, well her she’s all destructive power since her animal to turn into is a wolf well mine is leopard. Since our family has both witch power and Shapeshifters power. Normally one with a Shapeshifters blood can only shift into 1 animal. But with the witch blood it makes it so we can chose any shape at will all we have to do is spend a few days in each shape. We first chose then we can use the shape at will no needing to spend more than a few hours or till as long as we like but not more than a week in a shift at a time.
Amethyst was coming down the steps since I hadn’t come out of the car yet. I sighed yet again than grabbed my bag and open the door, as I got out there seem to aura of death around the place that only vamps can hold. I searched the surrounding area but couldn’t find the cause of it. What followed her was a big surprise it was a Grey wolf. I searched the aura of the animal and found that it was part human which I assume that it was a Shapeshifters probably Amethyst new mate in the wolf pack since her old mate had a very unfortunate accident that killed him and left all he had to her surprising?? Not really she has more power than most of them put together. I suspect she had a hand in it.
"New boy toy Amethyst??"
"Not really he’s new to the grouping so they established me to baby-sit him so he doesn’t try and kill anyone unwanted in the area so I just brought him here since there’s more woods here in the immediate area.  Though I have yet to see his human form since they brought him to me before they let me decide whether or not I want to do it." she gave a bit of a pout than remembered who she was and regained her poser.
Well that just had to sink her boat doesn’t??  Not my problem. "So when did they a sign him to you?"
‘‘Lets see its Saturday i got him two days ago on Thursday i think." she was never that good with the days of the week I sighed in warily.
"All right lead on Amethyst." with that the conversation was ended with a huff she turned and stormed toward the house. The wolf was staring at me a little to closely as if to get my every detail stuck in his mind.  That was not a good sign to have from a Shape shifter in his form. So I built a blast of power and sent it straight at the wolf when it had hit the wolf jumped about 6 feet off the ground and gave a yelp of surprise and pain then tore off toward the house like the gates of hell was on his tail. I gave short laugh then followed him toward the house.








CHAPTER 5






Dam that blast did more damage than good I felt weaker than I ever felt before. Worst even when auntie Emma put a draining spell on me when I was 15 I nearly puked my brains out before gran found out and nearly killed her, herself. The spells for warding the place were not much more help that it weekend me even more. As I stepped through the door the spells laid on my power with a vengeance the spells in this place never liked my power before since this was a ancient ground for rituals and other stuff like that.
I stood in the door way while the spells were pounding on me with full force a mirror was across the hall I saw what I had seen in the kids eyes but my eyes had grown so big around and a deeper golden brown than before. Now I was spooked this had never happened before.
I heard a in take of air to my left and turned to see who it was and saw Ashton when he noticed my eyes his got as huge as basketballs. When I started to feel I was tipping from the lack of energy "Ashton please help" I said in one small breath and could feel my self falling toward the floor I blanked out in the fall.





CHAPTER 6
I felt a pair of arms instead of the floor catch me.  I looked in the startling silver within white eyes that was staring with immense concern that was so different from what I’m not used to.  His face has this scared look that only surprise or pain can cause.  The look gave new meaning to him seeming that he never really showed his emotions before always keeping them in check whenever I’m around.
He started to lean forward unexplainably and started to kiss me eagerly at first I was startled by this action and was not ready but eagerly met his demands.  He was the one to pull away first his breathing was more rapid than ever. "Your eyes have returned to the golden brown when you change." He said in his deep Irish accent that was very appealing right now. I purred in delight at hearing this and he laughed a deep startling laughed that nearly unseated me from his arms. He picked me up from were we were on the ground. He held me up without much trouble making me wonder how much he could lift.
He walked to the stairs I looked at him questionably. He answered my unspoken question. "She said to bring you upstairs to one of the rooms that shell be waiting for you." I snuggled up close to him since I didn’t have the energy to stand yet not after that kiss. Now after that he doesn’t seem to be ruthless as he seemed to be.
"Ashton??" I asked out loud.
"Hmm??"
‘‘After I get healed up do you think that you’ll be able to teach me some different weapon skills so I can defend better next time??"  I wish he hadn’t stopped so suddenly because I nearly fell out of his arms and crash down the stairs. He seemed to think about the reason for more knowledge of weapons.
"Why do you want to know about more weapons??"
"Well you see I nearly got myself hurt in worst ways if I hadn’t had got away first. Also if I hadn’t had my knife when I did or else you would be scraping me off the side of the road because of Gabriel and his servant thought that I cause enough pain for them both."
"What did you do, I know enough about Gabriel he’ll not have let you go with as little scrapes as you got off with."
"Lets see I punched Falda in the face but she blocked it with her arm now that’s broken as far as I can tell.  Gabriel well lets just say I sliced his left thigh from knee to waist to get away from him before any more damage could happen to me than." he look taken back as if he just realize who he was carrying.
"So you wounded Gabriel and you lived to tell about it I just thought you were a weakling like many that comes here." I gave him a look like ‘hello I’m not week neither is amethyst’. He sighed than started to walk up the stairs and didn’t stop until we were out side the last door on the left.






CHAPTER 7





The person sitting on the chair behind the desk that was in the middle of the room was a very fine-featured woman. As one who looks like this woman you would never find anybody else like this she was well over the age of the first ever human to set foot on this planet. I guess this was true since I knew for a fact that she one of the very first immortals. Her eyes are like the color of a dark green with a light green surrounding it they are very startling if you didn’t know her well since she has hair the same dark green with light green streaked through it and its all natural. Her skin has a greenish ting to it someone but her had the skin color you might think of them sick but her green goes with her like my honey colors go with me and silver to Ashton. She’s around 6' 4'' tallest person that I’ve been around.
She looked up from reading her book marked it than put it down she did this all within a few seconds which I was barely able to keep up. "Sapphire?? What’s the matter??" she ran over checking my pulse like a good doc would do.
"I had a run in with Gabriel and Falda I know that my left arm and some ribs are broken. Got nearly stabbed by a kid that thought he could rob the old guy at gate of heaven though I persuaded him to leave before I could harm him that much." with that last sentence Ashton was nearly squeezing my guts out. " Uh Ashton could you kind of not squeeze me to death." he loosened his grip " ah much better thanks."
Lashley was staring at us kind of in a weird way I didn’t like. "Hey could you send some one out to keep a eye out at the gas station?"
"Uh?? Oh yeah sure I’ll send some people over there in a sec. Ashton could you please put Sapphire in room 5 please??" he nodded then went out of the office and walked down to were the clinic rooms were and went into a big room with a bed in the middle of it with night stands on both sides of the head board with a lamp on each table. When he sat me on the right side of the bed I finally got settled in. He propped a lot of pillows on the bed and he stopped fussing after he done I was as comfortable he sat in the chair closes to were I was set since there seem to be over 6 chairs in the room.
He reached into his pocket and grabbed his cell phone and hit a number and started to talk to the person. Stating the fact that gate of heaven needed to be made sure that there was no more trouble.
i was looking around the room there were several doors leading else were from the room. i guess to a bath room and a closet.
Lashley came in and stopped looked from me to Ashton than shook her head and came to stand by the bed in front of Ashton and asked me to tell what happen to me this night and so I did.







CHAPTER 8






She held out her slender hand that I didn’t really get it until she sighed stating the fact that she wanted to see my broken arm. I turned to hang my legs over the edge and held out the arm with a bit of grimaced that the stupid pills don’t work that well.
She started to feel the arm inch by inch till she got to the to my forearm when she had touched down on the broken part and as a result I felt a worst pain I’ve felt since Gabriel had decided I needed to be repaid in pain.
For the answer to whether or not it hurt I scream a high pitched screech that only cats can get when their fur is begin ripped off. With the pain my control over the beast had weaken and so I started to Shapeshifters right there on the bed. When she sense what was happening she grabbed Ashton by the upper arm and dragged him out of the room him struggling to stay not knowing what would happen.
After she finally dragged him out of the room she closed the door.  As soon as the door was closed I got my shirt off and thrown it on the bed and started on the pants. When they were near my knees the first pains of the change came at me I landed on my right side. Was nearly through the change when I had enough sense to kick the pants off my legs and kicked my shoes off under the bed.
I moaned from the slight pleasure of pain the change came with. Outside a wolf called out waiting for the pack to call back. Just out side the door that they had left through there seem to be an impact as someone tried to get in but couldn’t.
The change was over finally I lay on my back for several minuets panting from the effort that it took. In this form I didn’t seem to be hurt that much since I could heal faster now.
I got to a slight sitting position as best I could with out using my left arm. I sat there for a few seconds then got up and limped toward the door i sat there deciding what to do. When the door open a crack and Lashley head poked around it she search the room above me then looked down finally with a look of surprise on her face. Then gladness spread through her face like water.
I got out of the way of the door enough so she could come in which she did. "You surprised me to this day sapphire though I don’t like surprises this one seem to be a good one instead of bad. Though I don’t show it I’m really concerned for all you young ones more than you know. Since I was there when the gods were there to fight. They decided to test their powers on me to see if I could serve as accomplishment to them so I’m the oldest there are after all this time I never thought I would have for any that are like me in any power that would rival mine.
"How you are able to bring out peoples emotions I’ve never encountered before. Like how you brought out Ashton’s feelings are a accomplishment in its self is unbelieving as it is. You show compassion when needed and grief another thing most people are not able to do that. Though you and your sister are twins she does not have that power at all. She anger while you are joy." with that she sat on the floor besides me and started to heal my broken bones and scrapes with a bit of magic when that was done with she hugged me which was new. Though I am starting to worry about Ashton.
We sat there her hugging me well I tried to figure this out. What she said tie all with what Falda had said. When I change I get really hungry so I waited while she tried to coupe with what ever was going through her head. I started to purr after a while trying to see if that got her attention which it did.
She looked stricken when she finally figured it out why I was purring. "I’m sorry for that sapphire it’s just that I don’t normally do that I forgot that when people change they get very hungry. Come on lets get to the kitchen before jazson eats all the meat." she finally got up and went out the door before a could protest about jazson who ever he was.








CHAPTER 9







As I thought the bones in my arm and ribs were better than before. I grinned to myself inward since cats cant smile and followed her out the door down the stairs to the door of the kitchen down the hall from the front door.
I walked in the open door and was apparent who jazson was. Jazson was the wolf who I met and scared his wit’s out of him.  He took one look at me than growled with a bit of whimper behind it. Amethyst was sitting at the 10-foot dining table. She looked at who the wolf was growling at and found me she looked a bit surprise as to see me in this shape then shrugged and told jazson to settle down or else he would be sleeping outside in stead of in her bed.
He wined then settle down to lie on the floor beside her chair. I cocked my head wondering about that. Then the noise of the bowl setting besides me got my attention.  What were on the bowl were some several of the juice’s meats that I looked upon. I dive in to the meat and found that were as juicy as I thought. I gabbled them up in seconds.
There was a gasp from the door way I turned to see who it was and found a young girl standing there looking scared beyond belief. I had eaten my fill, now enough energy to get back to my human form. Within a few seconds i was back in my regular form. I sat there sitting on the floor naked.
The girl screamed and fell down on the spot whimpering. Ashton came running through the door nearly tripping over the girl just barely catching him self. "What happened??  I heard a scream."
"Well I guess she doesn’t like big animals in the kitchen. But it could be because I changed." with that I stood he was gawking at me like he never even seen a naked body before. I walked toward him and stood before him I looked at him "will you let me pass??" he didn’t move "I would love to stay and stand here in all my naked glory but I think our guest here would like me dressed.” his face was slightly red when he saw me now it looked like he had a fever. He moved away from the door when all that stood in the door way was the girl I had startled "what’s your name??" I asked her.
She answered with out looking at me “Belloma ma'am"
"Ah that explains it" she than looks questionably at me "a friend of mine is expecting a new witch in training to show up right amethyst?? Also the name Belloma means warlike or war goddess. You were born in ether Aries or Scorpio??”
“Yes ma’am I was that’s the reason my mother named me that. I was born under Scorpio.”
“Don’t call me ma’am it makes me sound old.” I’m really not liking that word a lot since people who don’t know me keep calling me that.
“I really didn’t mean to insult you its just you really scared me I thought that amethyst and jazson were the only shifters around. Also I thought that you were a big pet type cat.”
“No offence taken, if you were wondering I have a mixture of different types of big cats that I turn in to.” She still wasn’t looking to certain about that. “My favorite big cats are leopard, lion, jaguar, and tiger but I couldn’t chose between them so I mixed all the good stuff about them any you got to see how the effect was.”
   “It was a very beautiful shift that you had taken but how did you know I was a witch in training??”
“Is it not Lashley that you are a singed to??”
“Yes, Lashley plans to teach me the ways to become a good little witch and to help those in need. Why do you need to know??” she asked with a lot of heat that only the accused can get.
“Why, I am Sapphire, the one who had recommended she teach some one the ways of the ancients.” with that I left and headed to the upper floors....
